Education

UNESCO clubs and associations task is to complement formal education work. Usually, activities are addressed to an adult public, even though some of the actions are also for children and the young. The most common activities are conferences, colloquiums, school theatre activities, presentations of UNESCO documents to Educational Centres, Recreational Centres, Cultural Arts Centres, etc.

It is worth mentioning the following activities with a dissemination role: literary competition in source languages, artistic and literary contest , “P. Ramon i Roca” research prize, “F. Mayor Zaragoza” prize. And to highlight as well the task of the association UNESCO La Garriga through Fundació Universitària Martí l’Humà, the participation of Amics de la UNESCO de St. Adrià de Besòs in its educative task with emigrants; the El Masnou students source languages study by the local association; the project “Apadrinem escultures” (being the patron of a sculpture) of the association in Girona and its participation together with Tortosa in the “Gimcana de les llengües” (Languages Gymkhana).
